Drumroll, please..................

Today we learned that we will be spending the next 3-4 years in PORTLAND!!!

Portland, Maine, that is!

We feel very blessed to have matched to our second choice - but also very disappointed to be SO far away from our family and loved ones. So it is certainly a day of ups and downs. Over all, though, we feel that Portland, Maine is, for whatever reason, where our little family is supposed to be. And that thought brings us great comfort. We'll have a busy few weeks as we get Grins' tonsils removed tomorrow, then work on relocating our family across the country, so if the posts are sparse, that's why! Wish us luck!

Hurray! Can we come visit you this fall? It's supposed to be beautiful in the fall. ;-) I hope all goes well with relocating. When do you have to be there?

YAY!!! I know you were hoping for Oregon so you can be near family, but obviously there is something in the other Portland for you to do...remember this isn't just about the Mr. something for all of you.

Congrats! You had me going there for a moment, thinking it was OR, but I looked at the lighthouse and was like, what? Then I read it was in Maine! I'm excited for your family! Isn't great to finally know where you are going and no more wondering/worrying? Good luck with the move. If you need any suggestions on moving trucks, let me know!

That's wonderful news! Once you get settled, you'll have to let me know. It's about 2 1/2 hours to drive there from here, so perhaps we can make a weekend trip or something. Same for you. Our apartment is small, but we'd love to have you come here and visit. We're about an hour from Boston, and only a 1/2 hour from Concord where Louisa May Alcott, Henry David Thoreau and Emerson all lived. So much history! I am just so excited for you guys!!!
